To the South Staffordshire Partnership!

About the Partnership
South Staffordshire Partnership comprises a number of key
agencies working within South Staffordshire from the public,
private, voluntary and community sectors.
Following the event held on 21st January 2011 to review the
prioirities of the partnership in the current economic
climate, it was proposed that the Environmental Quality group
should be disbanded as environmental issues were cross-cutting and
linked in with each of the delivery groups. A recommendation
went to the Executive Board on 23rd May to disband the group and to
establish the links between the delivery groups so that issues
could be captured in the group action plans.
A recommendation was also made to disband the District
Children & Young People's Board as a result of recent changes
in the focus and priorities of the Board members. Again
issues relating to children and young people will be dealt with by
the individual groups.
The Voluntary and Community Sector
The contribution of the Voluntary and Community sectors to the
work of the partnership is crucial, and in order to emphasise this
importance the Partnership have developed a ‘compact’. Within
the District of South Staffordshire there are many examples of
effective joint working between voluntary community and statutory
organisations. The aim of the Compact is to build on these
good relations, and it underlines the commitment to continue to
work together.
